Managing Director of NDEP Plc nominated as Finalist for Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards, West Africa Region 2011

Dr. ‘Layi Fatona, the Managing Director of Niger Delta Exploration & Production Plc (NDEP), Nigeria’s leading publicly owned Independent Oil and Gas Company, has been announced as one of the Finalists for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards, West Africa 2011, Master Category.

At a black tie Awards dinner in Lagos held on the 4th November 2011, Dr ‘Layi Fatona, was selected as one of the last 5 Finalists for the West Africa region, after a rigorous evaluation process undertaken by independent judges.

The Awards considered wide ranging company criteria, including the financial performance and investments of each nominated Company, each individual’s entrepreneurial spirit, strategic direction, innovation and personal integrity. Each company’s impact on its stakeholders, community and its international reach was also considered.
